The Museum depends on community support for much of our operation

2008 Annual Fund Drive
In the past year donations to the annual fund have helped us to:
	wAttract a bright, professional team of Museum staff with vision and expertise.
	wUpdate our equipment to better store, record, and make accessible to the public our vast amount of archival materials, photographs, and information.
	wCreate better, more experiential exhibits for our visitors.
	wAcquire greater recognition (in Kitsap County and well beyond) of KCHS and the Museum as a valuable part of our community, causing a dramatic increase in our attendance
We are proud of these accomplishments, and enthusiastic about our goals for the coming year, which include
	wDevelopment of more outreach programs, particularly coalitions with schools to assure students throughout Kitsap will experience the history of the County which so many of us appreciate.
	wContinuation of our advocacy for historic preservation and documentation of historic sites, which has taken on new energy with the commitment of our Historic Sites Committee.
	wFocus on creation of exhibits and programs that incorporate more hands-on experiences, and adding attractive signage and interpretations, a goal well within our reach with our creative, energetic new curator
