HISTORICAL RESEARCH SERVICES.

Researchers or students not working on commercial projects will be allowed to do their own research on a case by case basis.  You must call the Museum to schedule an appointment with the Museum Executive Manager or Researcher.  Walk-ins will not be accepted.  Persons doing their own research must be supervised.  Paper and pencil ONLY.  NO BRIEF CASES, BAGS, BACKPACKS OR PURSES WILL BE ALLOWED IN RESEARCH AREAS.  Photocopying is available only with permission.

Research Fees
     Business/Commercial/Government 1st 30 minutes -- No Charge
     Anything over 30 minutes -- $30.00 per hour
     Student/Genealogy/personal 1st 30 minutes -- No Charge
     Anything over 30 minutes -- $10.00 per hour
     Photo Text Preparation -- $20.00
     Photocopies -- $0.25 each

PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION SERVICES.

The Kitsap County Historical Society archives photograph collection consists of over 30,000 images dating from the 1860s to the present.  These photographs represent a significant archival resource documenting the historical development of Kitsap County.

User Fees:
Photographic Image User Fee (1st Photo) --
     Commercial-- $75.00
     Personal/Educational-- $35.00
     Each Additional Photo of the same image -- $10.00
     Scanning Fees--$15.00 (100 dpi images emailed)

User fee entitles you to use images  ONE time only.  Commercial use is defined as advertising, business applications, use on web pages for reasons other than historical interpretation, etc.  Personal/Educational use is defined as publication in news articles, books or magazines, use for public display, use by scholars, students, researches, etc.  Images must appear with the following credit:  "Photos Courtesy of the Kitsap County Historical Society Museum Archives."

Fine quality resin-coated paper us used, available in either matte or glossy. Turnaround time is 7-14 days.
